In October 2021, Nimbus Verlag published the private correspondence which Sophie Taeuber-Arp had exchanged with her sister Erika and her husband Hans Arp. Most of the letters have been unknown until now. With their three-volume collection, including photos and sketches, the editors Medea Hoch, Walburga Krupp and Sigrid Schade open up a new approach to Sophie Taeuber-Arp and provide insight into a world that was on the move.
The letters will be presented as part of the exhibition Wolfgang Sophie. The material of their materials. Homage to Sophie Taeuber-Arp. A poetic visualization by Wolfgang Nestler. Structure, movement and space merge into a common field of energy.
The exhibition can be seen at Kunstraum Krüger Berlin until May 2022.
